Dr. Brotman is originally from Virginia Beach, VA. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Biology, then attended Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine in New York. Throughout school, she worked at several clinics as a veterinary assistant. She also found a special place in her heart for chickens while involved in disease surveillance research for the City of Virginia Beach. After graduating, Dr. Brotman returned to Virginia and joined the team at Countryside Animal Clinic in June of 2025. A few of her veterinary interests include dentistry, shelter medicine, and improving access to care.

Dr. Brotman’s ultimate goal is to create a collaborative and compassionate space for pet parents and a low-stress environment for her patients and their families. Outside of work, she loves to hike, try new sushi restaurants, and spend time with friends and her cat, Franny. Pictured is Dr. Brotman’s heart dog, Luci.
