Dr. Rivera grew up in Montgomery County, MD. She graduated with a B.S. in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park, then attended veterinary school at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2013. Dr. Rivera then completed an Avian & Exotics internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, TX. She returned to the east coast to work as a general practitioner before finding her home at Countryside Animal Clinic. Her passions include exotic animal practice (including reptiles, birds, and small mammals) and dentistry.
Dr. Rivera lives in Ashburn with her husband, also a veterinarian, daughter, and two cats: Biscuit and Gravy. She loves spending her time outside camping, hiking, traveling, or watching Netflix marathons. Dr. Rivera is also fluent in Spanish.
